Why Recaught?
We often know surprisingly little about the very fish we dedicate our lives to. Every flyfisherman knows that moment — standing by the water, wondering whats wrong. Are the weather conditions off? Am I using the right fly? Or what did I do differently the last time I was here? Often, it’s the smallest details that make all the difference.
That’s where Recaught comes in. It helps you build and refine your fishing knowledge by analysing your experiences over a lifetime. Right at the water, you can easily record every environmental factor and catch statistic — ensuring no detail gets lost.
Seasonal catch statistics for your local fishing club or friends can be generated in seconds, saving you valuable fishing time.

About Recaught
Hey fallow fly fishermen,
We have to admit, we've all been there - standing at the river questioning desperately our fly fishing skills. Without any explanation the fishing is suddenly off, no activity at the surface and no fish willing to bite. Feeling defeated by the beauty of the sport we pack our bags and go home. On our way we try to find ourselfs reasons and sweet explanations but never the truth about the interconnections of nature.
As a ten year old boy I started fly fishing and soon a fishing diary with all the environmental data around my catches. Having every entry filed away by paper it was hard to analyse patterns and effects in my fishing. Thats why I decided to build Recaught. I collected my own data during the last three years on my fishing experiences and am now dedicated to share my tool with the world.
My vision is to collect valuable data and to understand more the simbioses of nature and the fish we share a deep connection with. I am sure that there is so much more to understand and to explore.
Lets do that together.
Tight lines,
Caspar.
